Harvest Crusade 2024 Recap

Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Southern California

On Saturday, July 20th, we joined fellow Christian radio stations for this year’s 35th Anniversary of Harvest Crusade at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA. What a blessing it is to witness over 3,500 new believers who received the love of Jesus Christ. Over 50,000 people invited their friends, family, strangers, and co-workers to join them for this special event to listen to the gospel and music from today’s top worship artists.

The minute we stepped out of the car you could feel the fiery heat with an inviting cool breeze. We had no idea what we were in for. As attendees lined up at the gate you got a feeling of something bigger than yourself. A movement of Jesus, our King so loved by Californians.

The lines were wrapped around the parking lot pouring out into the streets. The gates opened at 5:30 PM and the hordes of thousands of people started moving forward and we were finally walking through the gates to get seated. You immediately feel the presence of the Holy Spirit roaming the seats of the stadium as the crowds find their seats. Harvest Worship debuted with their new song, “Have You Met My Jesus?” Shortly after Pastor Greg Laurie enters the stage and shares the history of Harvest Crusade, what movies are coming out like, “The House of David” and what his big mission is. To save souls for Christ and welcome them to the family of God. He then introduces Dennis Quaid, who walks up to the podium, says his name and proclaims, “I am Christian.” And the crowd starts clapping for his BOLD statement of faith.

Brooke Ligertwood started with “Honey in the Rock” and sang one of our favorites, “Who You Say I Am” by Hillsong Worship. Jonathan Laurie gave a special shout-out to over the 3,000 volunteers who gave their time for the great cause of spreading the gospel and reaching new believers.

Chris Tomlin steps on stage and the roaring is so loud as soon as he starts singing, “Good, Good Father.” I am no exception to this as I loudly joined my fellow Christian brothers and sisters in singing, “You are perfect in all of your ways to us!”  He then says, “Scripture says, day and night. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord.” He reminds us of who we are singing to and reads God’s words from the Holy Bible. How great is our GOD…

All praise to God the Father All praise to Christ the Son All praise to the Holy Spirit Our God has overcome The King who was and is and evermore will be In Jesus mighty name, I believe

Thank you, Jesus, for giving the gift of worship to Phil Wickham for this song, “I Believe”!

Matthew 18:19-20 New King James Version says, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

If you gave your life to Jesus Christ at this year’s Harvest Crusade, you might have recited the “Sinner’s Prayer”. Now what’s next? There are a few things we encourage you to do. Start reading the Holy Bible to hear God’s word. The Gospel has all the answers. Pray. No fancy language is necessary. Speak to Him with your heart. Find a home church that teaches straight from the bible and share the good news with someone. You might be surprised to learn that investing your time in serving is more fulfilling than you expected.

Jesus loves you even though. We ask you, the reader, do you take Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Share your testimony.

Pastor Greg Laurie recited this as the Sinner’s Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner, but I know that You’re the Savior who died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn from my sin. I repent of it. I am sorry for it. I choose to follow you, Jesus, from this moment forward as my Savior and my Lord. As my God and my friend. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank you for hearing this prayer. Thank you for answering this prayer in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

We welcome you always, our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
