On the memorable date of Saturday, September 21, 2024, a group of women of faith joyously convened at the Believe Women’s Conference at My Sanctuary Church in Costa Mesa, CA. An event that left a profound impact on all attendees. The gathering brought together a diverse array of believers who had each surmounted formidable obstacles to assemble in the name of Jesus. As we humbly knelt at the altar, we felt the purifying embrace of the Holy Spirit and the empowering presence of Jesus. The transformative power of prayer was vividly demonstrated, and My Sanctuary Church provided a comforting haven for women from various parts of the world. Within its walls, fervent prayer warriors pledged to practice daily prayers, proclaiming their commitment to this essential act beyond the confines of Sunday worship.
I had the privilege of meeting women from San Diego, Big Bear ladies who host Watch Parties for The Sanctuary Sunday Sermon, and other women from foreign countries who came to unite in prayer.
It was an unforgettable experience. From former Miss America, evangelist Cheryl Salem, to the TikTok star, Christina Baker, who went viral with her daily prayers during the pandemic, these women are leading more people to Christ. The power of prayer is truly healing. Christina stayed hours after the conference to pray for all the women who asked. This isn’t just her job, she is a child of God with a divine calling to heal through prayer.
A special thank you, to Pastor Jay Haizlip, Founder and Lead Pastor of The Sanctuary Church in Costa Mesa, and his team. Associate Pastor, Pro Skateboarder, Christian Hosoi shares a fun fact in passing about the little orange bibles we had on our table. He’s fully transparent with who he once was and how he lives now as an ordained pastor. “I used to carry around this exact bible listening to all the great bible teachers like Alistair Begg, Charles Stanley, and David Jeremiah. That’s all I listened to while I was…”
