Pastor Mark Francey Reflects on His Time in the KBRITE Studio
On March 26th, I had the joy of joining the amazing team at KBRITE Radio for their In the Studio interview series. It was a rich, heartfelt conversation that I’m truly excited for listeners to hear when it airs on Saturday, April 26th.
We talked a lot about Baptize California – last year’s historic event that saw thousands of people across the state take a bold step of faith through water baptism. I still get emotional thinking about it. There’s something incredibly moving about seeing people of all ages—some who hadn’t stepped into a church in years—surrendering their lives to Jesus in public, right there in the water.
During the interview, I shared how Baptize California started with a whisper from God. A vision. A burden in prayer. A sense that He’s not finished with this state. It’s easy to look at California and write it off, but I believe with all my heart: God’s not done with California. He’s just getting started.
This year, Baptize California returns on May 3rd, and it’s not too late for churches to get involved. There’s no cost to join – just a desire to see lives transformed. I spoke about how pastors can partner with us and touched on what’s coming next: Baptize America, a nationwide call to revival on June 8th. We’re believing for an even greater move of God across the country.
One moment that really stuck with me from last year was a young man who drove hours just to be baptized. His story – of addiction, heartbreak, and redemption – reminded me of why we do what we do. When he came out of the water, you could feel heaven rejoicing.
I’m so thankful to KBRITE for creating space for this conversation and for their heart in spotlighting what God is doing in our communities. The full interview airs April 26th, but until then, I hope these words stir your spirit and remind you: revival is real. And it’s here.
