We met Rick Clark when we ordered food through a delivery service. We quickly noticed his T-shirt. As we opened the door for him, we quickly asked if he had served our country. To which he said with a big smile, “Yes! Yes, I did!” We should all strive to be like Rick, in that whenever we think of the United States of America, we take pride in the Red, White, and Blue, for we honor all those who served and those who died in service for Us and for You.
There are many vets in this country and Rick is just one of many. Stop and look around, you will be surprised at just how many live around us.
Thank them, honor them, speak with them, listen to their story. Let us be quick to listen as the bible commands us to. Speak life into our vets. For the word of the Lord declares in Proverbs 12:25: anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. But let us not only serve our vets with words but with actions. 1 John 3:18 states: Dear Children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. Our words should be succeeded by our actions.
Rick is an inspiration in the life of servanthood, he served the nation, yet he continues to serve his country in many ways. The word of God states in 1 Peter 4:10: As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied Grace. Rick is a great example of this verse.
To all the Ricks out there, thank you, from the innermost parts of our hearts. KBRITE Radio extends prayers to all of you, may the Lord of Hosts be with you always.
And to all you readers, and to our KBRITE Family, Don’t forget to bless a Vet. Give back to our vets and to get involved in doing so, Go to: for local and national organizations you can get involved with.
