How It Began

Pierre and Danilee first crossed paths in Bible college, where their shared passion for ministry laid the foundation for their union. Initially indifferent toward each other, music eventually brought them together. Pierre played the piano for Danilee during worship sessions, and their relationship blossomed over time. After a year of long-distance courtship, they settled in Florida, where their shared journey in ministry began.

A Life of Music and Ministry

With his Haitian roots, Pierre grew up immersed in music, playing in orchestras and church settings. Danilee, hailing from a small town in Indiana, also felt called to ministry after high school. Together, they dedicated their lives to serving God through worship and leadership, traveling across six states to work with various churches in building and nurturing faith communities.

Challenges and Triumphs

Their journey was not without challenges. In 2017, they relocated to California, where Pierre directed the development of a local church worship department. Soon after, significant personal struggles arose, including the premature birth of their second child, cultural differences that strained their marriage, and the upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. These trials prompted them to seek therapy, during which they were introduced to Sanctuary Church, where they found healing and restoration.

Rediscovering Purpose

Amidst a period of immense racial and social tension, they deepened their involvement in the community at Sanctuary Church. The church became a haven of healing for the Aristils, reigniting their love for each other, their faith, and their commitment to God’s people. In 2019, they launched a podcast, *Let’s Dig*, to help others grow spiritually. However, their struggles led them to shut it down. After years of silence, they relaunched the podcast in 2024, renewed and ready to guide others through their journeys of faith and restoration.

Building a Legacy

Today, Pierre serves as an associate pastor and director of operations at Sanctuary Church, while Danilee has embraced multiple roles, including children’s ministry and event planning. Together, they raise their children in the church and dedicate themselves to building both local and global faith communities. Their podcast serves as a virtual platform to inspire people worldwide to deepen their relationship with God and thrive in their faith.
